The halo effect occurs when we make decisions about someone, based on one great or outstanding feature which leads you to regarding everything about that person in a positive light. Many people, for example regard celebrities as being nice, smart or humorous, for reasons that have little to do with the reasons why they became a celebrity. In corporate recruitment, an outstanding expert in a particular field or subject matter may be promoted to a leadership position even though someones expertise in one area may say little about their ability to be a leader. In our unconscious bias training we help you understand your unconscious biases and find strategies and solutions to deal with them effectively.
